My balls are for your pleasure

Is there anything better than the classic SNL Schweddy Balls sketch? I mean really, it’s hard to not just laugh saying it let alone watching it. And now I’m taking a little bit of that inspiration and presenting you with my double chocolate pecan bourbon balls. 🤤

  • 1 box Nilla Wafers
  • 8 oz pecans
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Bourbon
  • 1 bag chocolate melts

Pulverize the Nilla Wafers and pecans. Add in cocoa powder and mix until well blended.

Add in the sweetened condensed milk, the slowly add in the Bourbon. Mix until well blended, it will clump together naturally.

Now we form the balls. Lots and lots of balls. These are about 1 tbsp each, and I ended up with 32. Let them rest for about 15 min. In the meantime, follow the package instructions, melt your coating chocolate. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate, covering the entire ball. Set aside to cool and let the chocolate harden. Once set, put in super cute little paper cups.

As this is my 3rd bribery attempt for 🎅, at this rate he definitely needs a DD, or to just crash at my place, because these pack a delightful punch of luscious woody Bourbon. And so does the Old Fashioned I’m serving up with it!

I wanted something simple to really accompany the balls and compliment them, so this simple Old Fashioned using Chocolate Bitters is perfect!

  • 3 oz Bourbon
  • 2 Maraschino cherries
  • A couple dashes of Chocolate Bitters
  • Blood orange peel for oils & garnish

Mix over ice, strain into a glass with a big ice cube. Twist garnish to release the oils. Sip & enjoy!

Happiest of holidays my lovelies! I wish you and yours the very best and hope you have a Merry little Christmas 🎄
