For some reason I always think that Fall is the perfect time of year to be in New York, though I’ve only been in the Spring. I should do something about that when this pandemic eases. But moving on, since it’s Fall (88 degrees though it may be) and it’s Friday, for this Happy Hour, were going with a New York Sour ๐

- 2 oz Whisk(e)y of choice, I’m going with The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve Scotch
- 1 oz ๐
- .5oz Simple Syrup
- Red ๐ท float
Mix everything except the wine together and shake over ice. Pour into a glass of your choosing. I don’t care for ice in my drinks, so I went with a Coupe, but over ice in a rocks glass works too.

Using the back of a spoon, “float” the wine on top.

Obviously I need to work on back of spoon pours, but y’all know I have no problem practicing that skill on as many cocktails as it takes to get it right!
I really enjoy how this came together, the fruity sweetness of the Scotch, the bite of the lemon and the lush fruity tanins in the wine hit the spot to keep you warm & cozy.
Chin chin and Happy Friday my lovelies! ๐ I think this calls for some Alicia Keys don’t you? ๐ถ ๐น
