Turn that frown upside down!

So today was just craptastic ☹️.  Not any one thing, just a bunch of annoying little things that added up to me just wanting to go back to bed and try again tomorrow.  And I don’t know about you, but I hate feeling like crap. So what’s a BBB to do? Why, breakout the baking of course!

Costco is truly evil and they sell giant boxes of the best brownie mix (Ghirardelli!) for super cheap, so of course I always have some on hand, since I can’t do brownies from scratch to save my life. I’ve tried so many times that I’ve just given in to realizing that this is not one of my things, and that’s F.I.N.E. because as is my want, I never follow the recipe anyways and always add something to make it special and mine. 😜

For the most part, you’re going to follow the directions on the mix. All I do is make little additions here and there. For this one I’m adding in some sour cherries that I soaked in Maraschino liqueur and about half a bag of these espresso chocolate chips, since the mix already has chips in it too this thing is basically all chunks! 🤤

Set it to bake in your oven, or if you’re like me your countertop convection oven, which is the best present I ever bought my mother! She’s used it maybe once or twice and I’ve used it twice today already! 😜

Since you’re going to have some time, and you already have the bottle of Maraschino liqueur out, why not make a cocktail? I’m going to go ahead and make a “Fly Me to the Moon”.

1.5 oz Gin, 3/4 oz each of Maraschino liqueur, Créme de Violette, and 🍋 juice. Shake with ice, pour, and add one maraschino 🍒 and a 🍋 twist for garnish. Chin chin! 🍸

After enjoying your delicious cocktail and the brownies are finally done and cooled, slice into squares and top with whipped cream. If by now your ☹️ hasn’t flipped up to a 🙂, have another 🍸!
